<p></p> <p><b>דף חדש</b></p><div>{{Point<br /> |Lon=34.8997871374149<br /> |Lat=31.9537208862997<br /> |Height=63<br /> |MeasuredByGPS=No<br /> |Name=חאן חילו<br /> |Description=מבנה החאן העתיק של לוד, כנראה מהתקופה העות'מאנית, המכונה &quot;חאן חילו&quot;. כיום, המבנה היפה מוזנח ונמצא בסכנת התמוטטות. המבנה של חאן חילו הינו רבוע. באגף הדרומי שתי קומות, בקומה התחתונה קבוע שער רחב. שלושת האגפים הנותרים הינם חד קומתיים ובהם חדרים הפונים אל אכסדרה מקורה. לאורך האכסדרה ניתן לראות את האבוס שבו הוגש המזון לבהמות וכן את הווים ששמשו לקשירת הבהמות. האכסדרה נפתחה אל חצר קטורה שהיה בה בור מים. <br /> <br /> הכניסה לחאן היתה בשער רחב וגבוה הקבוע בקיר הדרומי. השער מעוטר בשתי קשתות שבמרכזן אבן ראשה מעוטרת, בקשת העליונה מותקן עדיין הוו שהחזיק את מנורת השמן שהפיצה אור בכניסה. הקשת התחתונה מעוטרת בעיטור בדגם &quot;שחמט&quot;, משני צידי השער יש שני עמודים כעין &quot;ספסלים&quot;. הפריטים הללו היו בשימוש בתקופה הממלוכית. החדרים הפתוחים שמשמאל לשער הכניסה שימשו כחנויות שפנו אל הרחוב.<br /> <br /> לידו נמצאו השוק, &quot;חמאם&quot; (בית מרחץ), תחנת משמר, באר-מים, ובשלהי המאה היט' נוספו בסביבה מרפאה ובית-חולים. מסביב למרכז נמצאו בתי מלאכה שבהם עיבדו תוצרת חקלאית למוצרים מוגמרים, נמצאו כאן בתי בד, טחנות קמח, בית-חרושת להכנת שמן שומשומין וטחינה, בתי אריגה שבהם ארגו יריעות צמר לבנית אהלים (את חוטי הצמר לאריגה-טוו נשות לוד בביתן). חרשי ברזל שהתקינו פרסות לסוסים, אופנים לעגלות וכלי עבודה לחקלאות. <br /> <br /> סמוך לחאן התקיים שוק שפעל בקביעות יומיים בשבוע. ביום השוק נטלו חלק סוחרים שהתאכסנו בחאן ובו אחסנו את מרכולתם וכן השתתפו תושבי הכפרים שבמרחב לוד. יום אחד פעל שוק שבו נמכרו תוצרת חקלאית ומוצרי צריכה. ביום השני התקיים שוק של בהמות בו נמכרו בהמות שיובאו מארצות שבאגן הים התיכון. הבהמות המיובאות אוחסנו בתחנת הסגר לבעלי חיים שנבנתה בתחנת הרכבת המערבית, ולאחר מכן הן נסחרו בשוק.<br /> <br /> גם היום עובד שוק לוד יומיים בשבוע בשכונת רמת אשכול סמוך מאוד לחאן וגם היום יום ב' מהווה יום ירקות ופירות וביום ג' כל הסחורה האחרת .<br /> |LongDescription=<br /> |Accessibility=<br /> |PointType=חורבה<br /> |images=<br /> |ExtLinks=<br /> |Contributors=menyroth<br /> |LastUpdate=11/22/2008 07:10:08<br /> |WinId=633629706083601972<br /> |Csrc=<br /> }}</div>
